Clearing Before the New Moon

via Joe Dispenza

Clearing Before the New Moon

Extended exhalation activates the vagal brake — heart rate variability rises, cortisol softens, and the nervous system shifts from bracing toward openness. This is the biology of release: the body learns to let go before the mind does.

Step outside if you can, or stand at a window. Feel the soles of your feet on the floor — solid, specific, real. Take three slow breaths and let your exhale be longer than your inhale, like you're emptying a room. Now bring to mind one thing you've been carrying that no longer belongs to this next chapter — a worry you've rehearsed too many times, a grudge that has gone stiff, an expectation you've been gripping. Don't analyze it. Just name it quietly to yourself, then breathe it out. Press your feet down. Notice the ground is still there.

Joe Dispenza would recognize this moment: he spent decades mapping how the body must become the environment for a new mind — that intention without the felt sense of the body is just rehearsal, not transformation. What you're doing now isn't symbolic. You are literally conditioning your nervous system to associate openness with safety, presence with possibility. You are preparing soil, not abandoning it.
