Reading the Inner Weather: A Check-In with Your Emotional Soil
Sit with both feet flat on the floor. Feel the ground pushing back — solid, unhurried. Close your eyes and take one slow breath, letting your belly soften on the exhale.
Now scan downward. Notice your feet, your hips, the weight of your hands in your lap. Ask quietly: What's the weather in here today? Not what you think you should feel — what's actually present. A tightness behind the ribs? Warmth in the chest? A restless hum in the legs? Name it like a sky condition: overcast, gusty, still.
Place one hand gently on whatever area holds the most sensation. Stay there for three full breaths. You're not fixing the weather — you're learning to read it. Because what lives in here — this landscape of sensation and feeling — is not decoration around your real life. It is your life, at its source.
