What You Carry Doesn't Have to Stay
Body scanning — moving slow awareness from crown to hands — activates the vagus nerve and shifts the nervous system toward parasympathetic dominance. Heart rate variability rises, cortisol softens, and the body begins to release what it has been holding not because it had to, but because it forgot it could let go.
Sit or lie down somewhere comfortable. Take one slow breath — in through the nose, out through the mouth — and let that breath be permission.
Bring your attention to the crown of your head. Not a command. Just an arrival. Notice what's there: tightness, warmth, the faint hum of unfinished thought. You don't need to name it or fix it. Simply let it be seen.
Let your awareness move down — forehead, jaw, the soft place behind the eyes where effort tends to collect. Breathe into those spaces. Not to push anything out. Just to look.
Move through the throat. The shoulders. The chest. Into the belly, the hands. At each place: witness before you release. Notice what has been stored there. Notice that it has been working hard on your behalf.
This is where Neville Goddard would pause with you. He understood that you cannot fully occupy a new state while still gripping the old one — that consciousness itself must release its former assumptions before the deeper self can move. "The old man must die," he wrote, "so the new man can be born." He wasn't speaking of loss. He was speaking of clearing.
Release is not loss — it is the clearing that allows the light to enter.
What you let go of this morning is not gone. It is simply no longer stored in you as armor. The Unhidden Self does not need to protect what it carries, because once something is truly seen, it no longer needs to hide.
Carry that ease into your day.
